Artist's Description

Captured by award winning photographer Joan Davis of Flatlandsfoto in the spring of 2013 during her visit to the Sombrero Ranch in Craig, Colorado. In the days last light, this group of ranch horses race down the hill and back to the corrals for their evening feed. As they gallop home through the sage, they kick up the dust into the glorious golden light found at days end.

About Joan Davis

Joan Davis

ABOUT JOAN DAVIS Joan Davis has spent her entire life surrounded by horses – first as a trainer and a competitor – and now as a photographer. A riding accident forced her permanently out of the saddle in 2001. Her camera is the way she stays connected to the animals she so loves. Most weekends she can be found behind the lens of her Canon camera photographing horses riders competing in the sportl of eventing. On occasion, she is able to sneak away for some non-equine adventures with her camera. You will find some of those photos here. Please enjoy this journey with her through her photography.
