Description
Captured by award winning photographer Joan Davis of Flatlandsfoto during the summer solstice in 2014 during her trip to Iceland. This image was taken after 9 pm but there was still plenty of light as there is no true darkness that time of year. The mist only lasted a few minutes but what a magical few minutes it was. If you look even closely you can see the waterfalls filled with the glacial melt running down the lush green mountains behind the curtain of mist.
