Captured by award winning photographer Joan Davis of Flatlandsfoto in the spring of 2013 during the Sombrero Ranch Great American Horse Drive. After a long winter out to pasture, this group of 600 ranch horses make the 50 mile trek back to the ranch where they will be prepped for another season of work at the state parks, dude ranches and summer camps. Together they make this long walk through the scenic backdrop of the west.
